Paris Saint-Germain forward, Argentine Lionel Messi, escaped a burglary that occurred at the hotel where he is staying in Paris. Le Royal Monceau hotel was targeted in a burglary involving several individuals who stole large sums of money, in addition to jewelry. According to the British newspaper "The Sun," the hotel break-in occurred from the roof of the building, where the thieves sneaked into a balcony and then accessed a room whose window was open.

The British newspaper reported that the burglary affected the top floor of the suite that Messi is staying in, with four rooms being robbed. One hotel resident mentioned that she discovered a stolen gold necklace worth £3,000, along with a sum of £2,000 in cash. The woman noted that security cameras caught footage of the burglars, but the police have not yet identified them. The police commented on the incident, stating: "A serious security breach occurred, and the incident is under investigation. Initial evidence suggests that the gang has experience in such operations."
