The Relationship Between Certain Foods and Deaths Among Many, Especially Children

Recent studies conducted on a wide segment of the British population have found a connection between certain foods and fatalities, particularly among children.

According to a study carried out by the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London, cow's milk allergy is the most common cause of fatal allergic reactions in children, and it increasingly affects adults as well. The study revealed that 26% of deaths among school-aged children were due to food allergies resulting from cow's milk consumption.

Recent research has shown that hospital admissions due to severe food allergies have tripled over the past twenty years; however, the overall number of fatalities has decreased, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail." The study further confirmed that 26% of deaths among school-aged children were due to food allergies linked to cow's milk.

It was found that nuts are responsible for 46% of these deaths. According to the recent study, cow's milk accounted for 26% of child fatalities and 5% of adult deaths, with 17 deaths out of 66 in school-aged children.

The study stated, "Since 1992, there has been a downward trend in deaths caused by peanuts or nuts, but fatalities due to cow's milk consumption have increased." The researchers added, "We have observed a concerning rise in deaths related to cow's milk, which is now the most common cause of fatal food poisoning among children in the UK."
