The leadership of the seventh military zone in northwest Marib confirmed that its combat units, supported by popular resistance, achieved significant victories against the Houthi militia on the fronts of Al-Iref, Al-Hejarah, and Mahzam Mas on Sunday. The operations command in the region reported to "Al-Arabiya" and "Al-Hadath" that the militia sustained substantial losses in terms of lives and equipment over the past days, aided by the air support of the coalition backing the legitimacy in Yemen, which prevented the militia from sending reinforcements to the battle fronts.
On Saturday, the Yemeni army forces announced that they advanced towards the depths of the city of Haradh in Hajjah Governorate, northwest of the country, from two axes on the international road linking Abes and the city to the south and the road linking Haradh and Midi to the west. In the meantime, the media center of the fifth military zone of the Yemeni army reported that the army forces are currently combing the southern and western neighborhoods of the city of Haradh amid intense clashes with the Houthi militia holed up inside the city.
It was noted that the Houthi militias detonated tall buildings in the south and west of the city, in addition to planting mines and booby-trapping entrances and buildings. The artillery of the national army and coalition aircraft targeted several gatherings and reinforcements of the Houthi militia east of Jabal and the al-Mahsam camp southeast of the city. The center confirmed that the battles are still intense on the second day of the offensive operation launched by the national army forces in the fifth military zone to liberate the city of Haradh.
Control of Jabal al-Mahsam
On Friday, the national army forces, with the support of the coalition backing the legitimacy, seized Jabal and the al-Mahsam camp overlooking the city from the southeastern side, completely encircling and besieging the Houthi militia barricaded in the city's neighborhoods. For his part, Major General Yahya Salah, the commander of the fifth military zone, called from within the camp, which had been a center for border guard leadership, for the Houthi militia besieged inside the city to surrender instead of facing certain death if they refuse to hand over the besieged city.
