MP Halima Qaqour revealed that "the 13 'change-maker' deputies held several meetings before the parliamentary session to go there united, but the parliamentary bloc has not finished its preparation yet, and we agreed on the messages we directed during the session." Qaqour announced in an interview with MTV that "among the change-makers, there were 7 who decided in the internal meeting to vote for Ghassan Skaf and 6 against him, and I was among them. However, in the first round, we voted with a blank ballot, and in the second round, we all voted for Skaf." She added, "We must move away from alignments and from 8 and 14 and unite all people around their rights. We will study every issue within the bloc, and we must protect all Lebanese. Our discourse is not sectarian, and we are under accountability." She continued, "We have not yet discussed the issue of our candidate for the premiership, and we will not participate in the upcoming government. We will present a new model and play the role of the opposition, and we will not support the return of Najib Mikati."
