Essam El-Hadary, Egypt's goalkeeper coach, expressed gratitude to the players for their efforts in the match against Cameroon, mentioning that he refers to Abu Jabal's bottle as the "victory bottle." Egypt's national team advanced to the final by defeating Cameroon in a penalty shootout 3-1 in the semi-final held at the Olympic Stadium.
El-Hadary stated in televised remarks on "On Time Sports": "The burden is very high; we congratulate the people of Egypt and the Arab world, all the players, and the coaching staff, with a special salute to all the goalkeepers because they are working very hard as the pressure is high on them."
He added, "We hope for success in the final match and aim to win the cup." Talking about Mohamed Abu Jabal, he said, "There was a bottle in Mohamed Abu Jabal's hand that I will call (the victory bottle); we will publish a photo of it and let people know how we work."
He continued, "We will celebrate today, and we have 48 hours to prepare for the final against the Senegal team." He concluded, "We work for the benefit of the Egyptian national team and the name of Egypt; there is a bond between us, and we want Egypt to be number one in Africa."
