Egypt Condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia and Affirms Solidarity with Riyadh

Egypt strongly condemned the continued cowardly attacks by the Houthi group targeting the dear lands of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which involved targeting several economic and civilian facilities early today with drones and ballistic missiles, resulting in material damage to some vital facilities as well as damage to several homes and vehicles. In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Sunday, Egypt emphasized that the targeting of these vital and civilian facilities in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents a grave escalation and a blatant assault on the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom, as well as a direct threat to security and stability in the region. Moreover, these despicable terrorist attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the principles and rules of international law. Egypt reiterated the close link between the security and stability of the two brotherly countries, as well as its solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the measures and steps it takes to confront the continuation of these cowardly acts of aggression.
