Today, Paris Saint-Germain announced that their Brazilian star Neymar da Silva is suffering from gastroenteritis, and his teammate Timothy Pembélé has tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a medical statement on its official website, Paris Saint-Germain said: "Neymar missed the team's training this morning due to gastroenteritis, and his situation will be evaluated in the next few hours." The statement continued: "It has also been confirmed that Timothy Pembélé has contracted the coronavirus, so he will enter self-isolation and undergo the appropriate health protocol."
The medical report noted that the team’s injury list also includes Colin Dagba, Abdou Diallo, Ander Herrera, Keylor Navas, and Juan Bernat.
It is worth mentioning that Paris Saint-Germain is currently in third place in the Ligue 1 standings with 48 points, trailing the leader Lille by 11 points, while Marseille occupies ninth place with 33 points.
