Understanding Adrenal Fatigue and Its Causes

Nutrition specialists have revealed that adrenal fatigue, a health condition that many are unaware of, can contribute to weight gain and decreased energy levels. According to Australian researchers Suzy Burrell and Leanne Ward, "adrenal fatigue" is not a medically recognized condition, but it includes symptoms that affect many people, leading to a general feeling of exhaustion.

Leanne Ward explains that the adrenal glands produce a set of hormones essential for health, and their dysfunction can lead to a range of issues including digestion problems, skin discoloration, insomnia, brain fog, lethargy, and fluctuations in weight, as well as loss of body hair.

Leanne recommends focusing on sleep quality, avoiding screens an hour before bedtime, modifying diet, and increasing the intake of leafy green vegetables and healthy fats. Meanwhile, Suzy Burrell confirmed her colleague's comments and noted that it takes approximately three months to overcome a comprehensive health condition like adrenal fatigue by focusing on diet, exercise, and adequate sleep, according to the Daily Mail.
