Rivaldo speculated that Messi's next destination could be Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian star stated in comments reported by the Catalan newspaper "Sport": "There are no players on the team who believe in a comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, and it is impossible to change this situation." He added: "Losing 4-1 is likely to be Messi's last match in the Champions League at Camp Nou, and Barcelona cannot give Messi hope of having a chance to compete for any important title."
Rivaldo noted that "Messi's future is with Paris Saint-Germain, especially after seeing what they did at Camp Nou; they are a team that can give him the opportunity to win titles."
Rivaldo concluded his statements by saying: "Messi has spent years shouldering the responsibility of the team, and at the beginning of the season, his best teammate, Luis Suárez, left for Atlético Madrid in an inexplicable sale that made them stronger than ever."
