Lebanese artist Naji Osta addressed his audience via social media, reassuring them about his health after contracting the coronavirus.
Osta shared a photo on his personal Twitter page, indicating that his health condition has improved following a difficult experience. He expressed gratitude to the medical team for their care, as well as to his friends and fans. He wrote: "Thank God, today I feel better after a tough experience I lived through from a week until today. May God not test anyone; thank God I came through safely. May God protect you and keep your loved ones with you." He added: "A big thank you to the management of Tal Shihha Hospital and the medical staff who monitored my health condition, and thanks to all the friends, loved ones, and journalists whose messages and calls I couldn’t respond to due to my health circumstances. Stay safe."
Recently, the Lebanese artist was hospitalized due to the deterioration of his condition, with intensified symptoms of COVID-19. He suffered from breathing difficulties and cough, which required him to use a ventilator. Osta faced some criticism when he announced his infection, as he had performed at a New Year's Eve event at the "Le Royal" hotel alongside artist Adam, without adhering to the preventative measures taken by most countries that emphasized the need to cancel gatherings. It later became evident that he did not contract the virus due to the performance but was infected by his brother on the first day of the year during a family gathering.
