After losing her job and getting divorced, Egyptian teacher Aya Youssef, known for her viral dance video during a Nile trip with colleagues, has received a new job offer and legal assistance to sue the person who filmed her. Dr. Nahid Abu Qumsan, head of the Egyptian Women’s Rights Center and a member of the National Council for Human Rights, has offered her a position as an Arabic language reviewer in her legal office, requesting Aya to bring her employment contract from the ministry to file a lawsuit against the union for what she described as arbitrary dismissal.
The Egyptian teacher revealed that her husband divorced her following the spread of the dance video, which caused a stir in her professional and personal circles. She justified her husband's reaction, considering it a natural response to what he heard after the incident. Aya stated that the video led to the destruction of her home and her life, questioning what sin she committed to face such a fate.
She called on everyone to leave her alone after losing her marriage and job because of the video, stressing that she lost everything beautiful due to the deceitful behavior of someone who was with them on the trip. She affirmed that she would never forgive that person for the harm and damage caused to her, which she will carry for the rest of her life.
Dr. Abu Qumsan also confirmed that she will file a report with the Cyber Crime Department against whoever published the video and slandered her. The Egyptian lawyer addressed the teacher's ex-husband, stating that men should support women, and their true character is revealed during crises, emphasizing that his actions were an escape from the battle.
