In recent hours, social media in Iraq has been buzzing with news about a dentist who sedated her husband and extracted all of his teeth after discovering his infidelities. Users reacted strongly to the news, turning it into a trending topic that sparked a debate among tens of thousands, with some supporting the woman's actions while others condemned them. However, many local newspapers, after the news became a hot topic, confirmed that the incident actually occurred, but not in Iraq. It was carried out by a British dentist named Anna Makuyak, who removed all of her husband's teeth in retaliation for his cheating, as reported by the British newspaper "Daily Mail" at the time.
The events unfolded when the dentist took advantage of her husband's presence at her clinic a few days after their separation for a dental issue. She administered an overdose of anesthesia to extract all of his teeth, then bandaged his head and jaws to prevent him from opening his mouth, convincing him that he had other dental issues and needed to consult another dentist. The husband was shocked upon returning home to find that his teeth had completely vanished.
The police arrested the dentist, and she was brought to court, where an immediate sentence of imprisonment was issued. In court, the dentist said: "I tried to be professional and separate my work from my feelings, but when I saw him lying before me, I just thought... damn it!" Meanwhile, the husband stated that his new girlfriend left him, claiming she could not live with "a man without teeth," and he would undoubtedly have to spend a lot of money to get new dental implants.
