Dubai Launches the World's Most Private Messaging App: "Oh!Message"

Dubai Launches the World's Most Private Messaging App:

Dubai witnessed the launch today, Tuesday, of the world's most private messaging application that allows users to send voice and text messages that disappear immediately after being sent and read, never to be stored on the app's servers. According to a press release obtained by 24, the app named "Oh!Message" brings users back to a simpler time of communication while enhancing privacy features, making it the first high-privacy messaging application developed in the region by Emirati entrepreneurs Mohammed Osman and Hayan Nyouf.

The app does not retain sent messages, which disappear after 10 seconds from the sender's account, regardless of whether the other user read or listened to them. Furthermore, the message will vanish from the recipient's account 10 seconds after being opened, as it is completely destroyed within the app.

The app allows the recipient 10 seconds to read or listen to the message and limits the text message character count to a maximum of 100 characters, with a 10-second limit for the sent voice message.

Co-founder and Chief Information Officer of the company behind "Oh!Message," engineer Mohammed Osman, explained that "the app surpasses end-to-end encryption to offer additional features that make it the most private among messaging applications." He added, "The app is available for free on Apple and Android stores and includes other features such as not showing the user as online while using the app, and not tracking their location."

**Capital of Talent**

For his part, co-founder and Chief Communications Officer of the app's parent company, Hayan Nyouf, stated that "the first phase of the app's launch is in the UAE, the Gulf region, and Arab countries." He pointed out that "the UAE is establishing itself as the capital of talent, companies, and investment in the fields of digital and technical excellence globally, which has served as a significant motivation to work on this project from the UAE. This app is the first to be launched in the Arab world with such strong privacy features."

The company confirmed that the communication experience through this app is simple and easy, with the app's small size on the user's device not increasing regardless of usage since the content disappears permanently. Users will not be distracted by complicated privacy settings, as privacy is considered inherent to the app for all users, not an option.
