The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Al Sheikh, revealed that the sponsorships for the concert of artist Abdul Majid Abdullah, scheduled for today (Friday) at the Mohammed Abdu Arena in Boulevard Riyadh City, are the highest in the history of musical events for an Arab artist in the Middle East, confirming that the sponsorships have broken records that will be recorded in Saudi artistic history.
Al Sheikh stated during the signing ceremony for the sponsorships of the "Abdul Majid Night" on Thursday, in the presence of artist Abdul Majid Abdullah and Rotana CEO Salem Hindy: "I am happy with Abdul Majid's return to the stage after a 5-year hiatus; if Abdul Majid had 10 nights, he could fill them, not just two."
He explained that the effort put into "Abdul Majid Night" is significant from the music band and all the workers for this night, revealing that attempts to bring Abdul Majid Abdullah back to the stage began in 2019, and we managed to convince him to return in 2022.
During the conference, Al Sheikh mentioned that he envisioned organizing a grand concert featuring artists Abdul Majid Abdullah, Rashid Al-Majed, and Majid Al-Muhandis with an audience of at least 300,000; however, Abdul Majid's health condition did not allow for this.
For his part, Saudi artist Abdul Majid Abdullah expressed, "I am happy to return to the stage again; Turki Al Sheikh played a significant role in breaking the fear barrier and the illness I am suffering from." He added, "Abdul Majid Night is just the beginning of upcoming projects that will see the light in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority and Rotana's management to organize world-class concerts inside Saudi Arabia."
