"She Put Her Baby in the Fridge and Sold His Body... 'The Heroin Lady' Confesses"

In a horrific crime that has shocked Syrian social media and communities over the past few days, security forces in Syria arrested a woman in rural Damascus who aborted her child and used the corpse to transport drugs.

Details of the case emerged after the Ministry of Interior, under the Syrian regime, announced that it had apprehended a woman who had been addicted to cocaine for five years alongside her husband, before switching to heroin. She resorted to drug trafficking to fund her addiction.

In a video confession earlier this week, the woman admitted to continuing to use drugs during her pregnancy and deliberately aborted in the eighth month by taking abortion pills. When the fetus was delivered stillborn, she took the body from the hospital to her home. Instead of burying it, she decided to use it to transport drugs, placing it in the fridge to start her operation.

She revealed that she hid the drugs in the baby's clothing while delivering from rural Damascus to the city, attempting to avoid raising suspicions. After each transport, she would return the body to the fridge for further use.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage in Syrian society due to its gruesome details, and social media users have widely circulated the story, dubbing the perpetrator "The Heroin Lady."

It is worth noting that recent Western reports confirmed that the area along the border between Syria and Lebanon has seen a complete breakdown of law and order, becoming a hotspot for drug trafficking. Smugglers have been transporting hashish and Captagon pills along a route extending from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon to the border city of Qusair in Syria and north towards the ports of Latakia and Tartus.
