Mother and Son Engaged in Burglary from Homes... Here Are Their Victims!

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "Recently, there have been several cases of burglary from homes carried out in a fraudulent manner by a woman and an unidentified young man. The woman enters homes inhabited by the elderly and distracts the victim, allowing the young man to enter and steal available jewelry, cash, mobile phones, and other items, before fleeing to an unknown location on a motorcycle.

In response, the specialized units of the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces began field and investigative procedures. As a result of extensive inquiries and investigations, they succeeded in identifying the perpetrators, a mother and her son: S. R. (born in 1971, Lebanese) and A. N. (born in 1999, Lebanese). Orders were issued to locate and apprehend them as quickly as possible.

On May 19, 2022, after careful observation, the Information Branch was able to determine their residence in the Al-Wattawat / Zuqaq al-Blat area, where one of the branch's patrols conducted a raid that led to their arrest inside the apartment. The motorcycle used in the burglary operations was seized. During the search of their home, a large quantity of stolen goods was recovered, including: a war pistol with three magazines, a rifle, a seven-shot knife, a communication device, a camera, a PlayStation, accessories, wristwatches, and other items... in addition to cash.

Upon investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding carrying out several burglary operations from homes in a fraudulent manner, specifically targeting elderly victims. Legal action has been taken against them, and the investigation is ongoing.

Thus, based on the judiciary's directive, the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces publishes their photos and requests that anyone who has fallen victim to their actions go to the Beirut Information Branch located at Emile-Helo Barracks - Corniche Mazra’a, to identify them and provide their statements."
