Smart Tricks on WhatsApp That Users May Not Know

If you are a regular WhatsApp user, it is useful to know some smart tricks that you may not have been aware of in the app. A TikTok account named @tricksin1 shared a video that garnered over 7,000 likes, showcasing the best tricks on WhatsApp to ensure a pleasant experience while using the application.

The first trick is saving messages in the "favorite" category. Simply open WhatsApp and go to the chat. By pressing on a specific message, you will have the option to mark it with a star. Then, go to the settings and search for starred messages. This is where all your favorite messages will be stored. It’s an easy way to keep track of important messages, which may include important addresses, travel directions, and other messages of interest.

The video also offers another tip, which is pinning chats to the top of the chat list. This is an easy way to prioritize your favorite people in the app. Pinning conversations allows important chats to stay at the top of the list, making it easier to find them each time. To pin a conversation to the top of your chat list, you need to long-press on the conversation until a "pin" icon appears next to the delete and archive options. The selected chat will then be pinned to the top of the list. If you change your mind later, you can unpin it at any time.

Other tricks on WhatsApp include using bold text to emphasize a word or phrase. It can also highlight the message, which can be useful in group chats. All you have to do is place an asterisk on both sides of the word or phrase you want to highlight, like: *text here*. Similarly, it's also possible to make WhatsApp messages italicized, which works in the same manner as the previous trick but uses different symbols. You need to place an underscore on both sides of the word or phrase you are trying to format, as follows: _text_.
