On Saturday, Yemeni army forces thwarted several attacks and movements by the Houthi rebel militia on the outskirts of Marib province, northeastern Yemen. The Yemeni army's media center reported that the army's artillery targeted movements of the Iran-backed Houthi militia in the Al-Kasara and Mahzam Mas fronts, inflicting losses in equipment and lives.
Additionally, Yemeni army forces repelled a Houthi attack in an attempt to regain positions lost in the Al-Musharif front in Rahba district, southern Marib province. A military source explained that the forces countered the Houthi assault while coalition aircraft launched several airstrikes in the area, as well as other Houthi positions in Al-Kasara and Al-Mushajih fronts, west of the province, confirming the repulsion of the attack and inflicting losses on the militia in terms of personnel and equipment.
Combat operations have intensified in the southern and western fronts of Marib province, coinciding with a series of airstrikes by the coalition supporting legitimacy, which targeted locations and reinforcements for the militias alongside the fronts in Al-Jawf, Saada, and Al-Bayda. The Houthi battalions being dispatched to the fighting areas have suffered heavy losses in these regions since the beginning of this year. The militias are attempting to reclaim areas they recently lost, such as Mount Malboda in Al-Kasara and Mount Al-Abzaq in Rahba, but they have not made any significant progress despite suffering substantial human and material losses daily.
