In a horrifying incident, "A.M.", a 19-year-old housewife accused of helping her fiancé in the murder of her mother, confessed in detail before the prosecution in Qalyubia. She stated that her mother wanted to break off her engagement with the fiancé she initially chose and agreed upon, but every day, she insisted that A.M. prevent him from entering the house and to reject him. A.M. added that the victim frequently beat her to force her to stay away from him.
She continued, "On one occasion, while I was sitting with my fiancé, she scolded me, so we decided to get rid of her in defense of our love. I agreed with him, and we made a plan to eliminate her when my older and younger sisters were out of the house. I would let my fiancé sneak into my mother’s bedroom after I opened the door for him."
A.M. explained that the plan was executed, and when her older sister went to work and her younger sister went to class, she called her fiancé and informed him that the house was empty. He immediately came over, and as soon as he arrived, they both entered their mother’s bedroom, where he stabbed her multiple times in the stomach until she breathed her last.
The second accused, "A.N.", a tuk-tuk driver, stated that the first accused, the victim's daughter, was the one who planned the crime and had asked him to defend their relationship by getting rid of her mother. He mentioned that she devised the plan to eliminate the victim and opened the door for him to carry it out, adding that he listened to her because she insisted on committing the crime, saying: "I didn't know we would end up behind bars this quickly."
The prosecution charged the two defendants with premeditated murder, ordered them to be held for four days pending investigations, and requested a police investigation into the incident. The prosecution also conducted a reenactment of the crime scene, with the defendants demonstrating their actions before investigative authorities.
Major Hatem Haddad, the Director of Criminal Investigation in Qalyubia, received a report from Colonel Mohamed Gheit, the police chief of Qalyubia, about the discovery of the body of a vegetable vendor named "L.M.", 43 years old, murdered inside her home in the village of Baradana. Upon examination, it was determined that the victim had suffered eight stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. The investigative team began questioning the victim’s daughters and examining her relationships to uncover the circumstances of the incident and whether she had any disputes with anyone. Investigations revealed that her daughter and fiancé had committed the crime due to the victim's refusal to allow the marriage between them, leading them to conspire together to kill her.
