Egyptian artist Hani Shakir responded to Hamo Beka's statements against a member of the Syndicate Council regarding profit-making, bribery, and existing leaks that confirm this. The head of the Musicians’ Syndicate, Hani Shakir, stated: "Any accusation against the council's actions or any of its members, by virtue of being an elected member from the General Assembly or the administrative apparatus, should be addressed to the public prosecution, which will discuss the evidence supporting or refuting these claims, not social media. The syndicate is fully committed to providing all necessary support to investigative bodies to clarify the truth for everyone, may God guide us all towards what is good." He added that the syndicate is a solid and cohesive institutional entity working through an organizational system governing all its actions, and over the past six years, the syndicate has achieved accomplishments that have never been achieved before, thanks to the efforts of all council members. Hamo Beka had previously accused the syndicate council in a television interview of exploiting him by allowing him to hold weddings for free, claiming that he paid 15,000 Egyptian pounds to an unnamed member of the syndicate in exchange for permits for his concerts, while only receiving a receipt worth 2,000 pounds, according to his statements in the interview.
