The spokesman for the Yemeni army, Abdu Majli, announced on Thursday the destruction of 80% of the total weapons and equipment of the Houthi militias in Marib province through artillery and air support. The Yemeni news agency quoted Majli as saying that the army's artillery and the Giants Forces destroyed Houthi positions and weapons, while the coalition fighter jets conducted focused airstrikes targeting dozens of the group's sites and gatherings across the combat operations theater, inflicting significant losses in equipment and lives.
For its part, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced the destruction of a helicopter transported by the Houthi militias from Sana'a Airport to the southern Marib front. The coalition also reported the monitoring of movements to transport weapons to the front lines, warning the Houthi militias against these attempts.
The southern and western fronts of Marib are witnessing fierce battles between the national army and popular resistance on one side and the Houthi militias on the other. The legitimacy forces have applied pressure on the Um Rish camp from two directions, with the progress of the Giants Forces from the south. This comes after tightening the noose around the Houthis and activating the northwestern front.
