Importance of Monitoring Vaccine Transport in Baalbek

Baalbek Governor Bashir Khadr emphasized the importance of monitoring the vaccine transport process from Beirut to Baalbek to ensure it arrives safely at the hospitals in Baalbek-Hermel.

The National News Agency reported that Governor Khadr chaired a meeting at the governorate center in Baalbek today, highlighting the need for proper and safe transportation of the vaccine. He stressed the necessity of prioritizing vaccination for those most at risk of the disease, including the elderly and refugees residing within the governorate.

The meeting included UN organization officials working in the Baalbek-Hermel area: Dr. Genevieve Bejkoyan, Utpal Moitra, Gwendoine Mensah, and Garro Haroutounian, along with representatives from the disaster risk reduction unit of the Red Cross and the disaster management authority in Baalbek-Hermel.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing the vaccination process and how to successfully implement it to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, as well as awareness campaigns and assisting individuals in the registration process on the platform. It also addressed the post-vaccination phase, which requires continued commitment and adherence to preventive measures to ensure the safety of others.
