Syrian artist Talal Mardini was devastated by the death of his mother on Friday, January 15.
Talal Mardini posted on his private Facebook page: "We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return. May God have mercy on you, Mom, and grant us patience in your absence. The pain in my heart is great; there is no objection to God's decree."
In turn, the artist's fans and colleagues supported him and prayed for her mercy, most notably his colleague Syrian artist Bassem Yakhour, who shared a photo of Talal and his mother on his social media accounts, saying: "Life is yours, Talal. Life is yours, my brother. May God have mercy on your mother and grant her a spacious paradise. I know how proud you were of her... May God grant you patience and strength."
It is worth mentioning that just days before, Talal Mardini revealed that his mother was experiencing critical health conditions. He shared on his social media a video featuring Syrian artist Nassif Zaitoun reciting a touching poem about mothers, accompanied by Mardini's plea for his mother's swift recovery: "Mom, may God heal you and bless you, and may you come back to beautify the whole world... I wish you would get up and listen to me so I can tell you how much I love you and how dark the world is when you are sick and unwell. Mom, then Mom, then Mom."
