Mocking the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon: MP Jamil Sayyed's Comment on

MP General Jamil Sayyed posted on his Twitter account, "Poor Riad Salameh."

According to the National News Agency, MP Sayyed tweeted this comment expressing that the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon is buying media coverage with illicit money belonging to people's deposits, noting that he will not be able to extinguish the light of truth.

This is what MP General Jamil Sayyed published:

("Poor Riad Salameh, with money, especially with the illicit money belonging to the people's deposits you have, you buy media commentary here to praise you and criticize your opponents, and you buy silence from the media there to cover for you; but no matter how much you buy, you will not be able to extinguish the light of truth, and then the hired voices will fall silent, just as the howling of the night disappears with the light of day.")

The "Al-Siyasah" website reported yesterday that sources confirmed to the site that MP General Jamil Sayyed is behind the attacks on Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh, pointing out that what was published in the newspaper "Al-Akhbar" about financial transfers abroad made by Riad Salameh in his name, his brother’s name, or his assistant’s name is not accurate.

Sources mentioned to the "Al-Siyasah" site that it is fundamentally and legally impossible for the central governor to conduct any financial transfers from the Central Bank to abroad, especially since any transfers are conducted through private commercial banks, and all operations of the Central Bank are fully monitored by the bank's central council and the government's commissioner to the Central Bank.

The sources accused General Jamil Sayyed of being behind these claims, noting the numerous financial suspicions surrounding him related to involvement with questionable names in the black market banking world in Lebanon to pressure the lira and conduct transfers of millions of dollars abroad.
