Tragic Death of Ajax Amsterdam Talented Player in a Horrific Accident

A tragic car accident claimed the life of Ajax Amsterdam football club player Noah Gieser after his car collided with another on Friday in one of the cities in the Dutch province of Utrecht. A spokesperson for the club reported that the talented player, Noah Gieser, 16, was involved in the serious car accident last Friday evening, along with his brother, who also lost his life in the tragic incident. Ajax stated on Twitter: "Ajax is deeply affected by the death of young player Noah Gieser… Our condolences to his family, friends, and relatives." The club announced that the "shocking news" would be communicated between the first team and youth team during training.

Ajax, the Dutch league champions, clarified that Gieser was traveling with his 18-year-old brother when their car collided with a taxi on the United Nations Road in the city of IJsselstein. The only survivor from the tragic accident was the taxi driver in the opposing vehicle, who was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but his injuries are not believed to be serious. Ajax indicated that matches would begin with a moment of silence, players would wear black armbands, and flags would be flown at half-mast. The club added: "Ajax is deeply affected by this tragic event. The club wishes Gieser’s loved ones all the strength to cope with this devastating loss." Noah Gieser was regarded as a significant talent at Ajax and had recently been promoted to the under-17 team. Last season, the late player scored 13 goals in just 6 matches for Ajax under-16 team.
