The Lebanese army is continuing the distribution of compensation to citizens affected by the Beirut Port explosion for the third consecutive day.
Units of the army have distributed a total of 2,522,000,000 Lebanese pounds. According to a statement from the army's Directorate of Orientation, reported by the National News Agency on 18/2/2021, 404 housing units categorized as medium and below medium have benefited from this compensation, distributed across the areas of (Karentina, Mar Mikhael, Gemmayzeh, Corniche al-Nahr, Jaitawi, Sassine, Medawar, Ramlet al-Baydah, Roum, Rizk, Adliyeh, Tabbariyeh, Bourj Hammoud, and the waterfront of Sahel el-Doura).
The agency clarified that the distribution of aid will continue tomorrow in these mentioned areas, in addition to the areas of Khandaq al-Ghamiq, Bashoura, and Zoqaq al-Blat.
In the past two days, the army conducted the distribution of compensation to citizens affected by the Beirut Port explosion, distributing a total of 6,445,100,000 Lebanese pounds. According to the statement from the army's Directorate of Orientation, on 17/2/2021, the relevant army units resumed the distribution of compensation, benefiting 687 housing units classified as medium and below medium, across the same areas mentioned above including Ain el-Mreisseh.
On 16/2/2021, the Lebanese army units initiated the compensation distribution process, distributing a total of 4,033,100,000 Lebanese pounds. It was noted that the number of housing units that benefited from this compensation was 622, across the aforementioned areas. The statement indicated that the distribution of aid would be completed tomorrow in the previously mentioned areas, including Ain el-Mreisseh.
