Adham Nabulsi remains a topic of conversation among the public and on social media since yesterday, after he unexpectedly announced his retirement from art and singing, a decision that sparked significant debate and drew criticism from some. Adham Nabulsi spoke again today about his retirement decision.
In statements to "Ro’ya" TV, Adham Nabulsi addressed the uproar surrounding his recent announcement to retire from singing. He mentioned he discussed everything related to his decision in a video but that his comments were interpreted in multiple ways, including accusations of him forbidding art. He emphasized that he is not qualified to judge these matters and was only speaking about himself, as he does not feel comfortable working in the artistic field. He added that he is like anyone who works in a field where they do not feel at ease and reiterated that he was discussing himself solely in the retirement announcement video.
Adham Nabulsi surprised the public by deleting his songs from YouTube. He stated that he respects everyone and has not responded to the criticism because he respects everyone’s opinion, believing that everyone has the right to express their views. He noted that he feels very happy with the public's reaction to his retirement decision and assured that he will not distance himself from them in the upcoming period, as he plans to present new things that reflect his true nature and personality, although he has not yet decided on the forms of the new works he will present post-retirement.
Adham Nabulsi confirmed that he has deleted 10 songs from his YouTube channel following his retirement announcement and is in the process of deleting the remaining songs. He is waiting for some procedures to be completed and to finish existing contracts before removing the rest. He indicated that in today’s age, it is difficult for his works to completely disappear since some may resurface, but they will not be available on his accounts or YouTube channel.
Adham Nabulsi clarified the speculation about him retracting his retirement decision, stating in further comments to "ET Bil Arabi" that he will not reconsider his decision. He explained that if he had thought about that, he would not have announced his retirement to the public, sharing that his close ones were aware of his desire to retire since he first entered the artistic field until the time came for him to make this decision.
