The Emirati artist Hussain Al Jasmi presented a song in Turkish, in honor of the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the United Arab Emirates, which lasts for two days in response to the invitation of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. Al Jasmi dedicated the song to Turkey and its people, as a tribute to the Turkish-Emirati closeness, and the Turkish song is titled "Everything Reminds Me of You," with lyrics expressing longing for Turkey.
Al Jasmi included an Arabic translation with his Turkish song, with the Arabic meaning of the lyrics as follows: "Memories surround me everywhere I look there; even though I don’t want to think of you, everything reminds me of you. We walked together on these roads, we got wet together in the heavy rain. In every song I listen to now, everything reminds me of you. Those eyes are like the sun in the sky. How exhausting this longing is; the fire of your love ignites and never ends."
The music video for the song, published on Al Jasmi's YouTube channel, shows him sitting at a piano playing, along with scenes from some of the most famous tourist spots in both the UAE and Turkey. The song received praise from thousands of Turks and Emiratis who began sharing it widely on social media in Turkey and the UAE.
Fahrettin Altun, the Head of Communications at the Turkish Presidency, expressed his delight with Al Jasmi's song, writing on his Twitter account, "We also had the chance to listen to Mr. Hussain Al Jasmi at dinner; you were wonderful." Turkish journalist Muhammad Kara praised the song as well, saying on Twitter, "Amazing voice and beautiful comment, thank you very much, and we hope to see you soon in Istanbul." The media and social media in Turkey and the UAE buzzed with the song, which was widely circulated.
