Some hosts of Twitter Spaces can now create clips from recorded discussions as part of testing a new feature. Currently, a select few hosts on iOS can access this feature, while some Android and web users will be able to try it in the near future.
Hosts will be able to trim audio clips up to 30 seconds long, and all hosts have been able to record their spaces since January. This feature allows them to tweet small segments of their discussions to give other Twitter users insight into what their content revolves around, thereby expanding their audience.
Clubhouse has offered a clipping feature since September, allowing its users to cut shareable 30-second audio clips from public rooms. Additionally, all YouTube users can clip highlighted video segments, which enables viewers to help draw attention to content creators using snippets from their videos.
Since Twitter is currently testing its unique clipping tool, it may open the feature to more users in the future, according to the website “Engadget.”
