Preliminary investigations revealed that the perpetrator, who has a criminal record and resides in Minya, was engaged in a criminal activity that specialized in seizing money from bank clients, especially the elderly who frequently use ATMs.

The initial inquiries disclosed that the suspect fooled his victims into thinking he was assisting them with withdrawal transactions using their electronic payment cards while secretly transferring amounts from their accounts to another account belonging to his brother using their cards without their awareness, allowing him to steal money from 19 bank clients.
