Rescue Teams Reach the Location of Child Rayan in the Well - Video from Morocco

Moroccan rescue teams were able to reach the location of the Moroccan child Rayan in the deep well he fell into last Tuesday. The rescue operation for Rayan, who is 5 years old and trapped in the middle of a 60-meter-deep well with a diameter of only 30 cm, in the suburbs of Chefchaouen, northern Morocco, has captured global attention.

This incident has generated significant sympathy worldwide, with Twitter users sharing photos of the child accompanied by posts in various languages and launching numerous hashtags. Millions in Morocco and the Arab world have been hoping for a happy ending to the ordeal of the child, whose story has drawn widespread international empathy.

Earlier, the Moroccan government announced three scenarios to rescue Rayan: the first scenario involved widening the well, considering the possibility of falling stones and soil; the second involved lowering rescue teams, which was attempted but proved unsuccessful due to obstacles; and the third scenario included parallel drilling to reach the child through an exit.

Alongside the drilling operations, authorities stationed a medical team on standby to provide first aid as soon as Rayan is rescued. An ambulance helicopter from the royal gendarmerie, equipped with all necessary resuscitation and medical aid tools for possible urgent transfer to a specialized hospital, has also been made available. Additionally, there is a medical ambulance and a health team consisting of a specialist doctor in resuscitation and anesthesia, resuscitation and anesthesia nurses coming from the regional hospital, and three nurses from the city's health center.

It is worth noting that the Moroccan child entered his fifth day without food or drink, except for the first days, where his father reported that he had drunk a little in the depths of the dark well. The five-year-old accidentally fell into this very narrow well, which is difficult to descend into, on Tuesday night.
