Lebanese media figure Major Ali Jaber was saddened by the death of his mother today, Saturday.
The official page of the artist on Facebook announced the passing, as his media office stated: "The mother of Major Ali Jaber passed away this morning. The page management extends its heartfelt condolences to the Major and all family members. Truly, we belong to Allah and truly, to Him we shall return." The Major tweeted a simple message: "Truly, we belong to Allah and truly, to Him we shall return," prompting an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues in the artistic and media community.
Maggie Bou Ghosn wrote: "May her soul rest in heaven... God have mercy on her and grant you patience," while media figure Neshan commented: "My deepest condolences; losing a mother is bitter. May she rest in peace." Many others, including Taim Hasan, Abdo Shahin, Jessy Abdo, Amr Adib, and Carmen Lebbos, also offered their condolences.
Critic Jamal Fayyad remarked: "My heartfelt condolences; the late Mrs. was dear to us.
