The Higher Education Authority in the Educational Mobilization of "Hezbollah" praised the high-spirited competitive atmosphere that prevailed during the election of the executive members of the Association of Full-Time Professors.
The National News Agency reported this evening on a statement from the Higher Education Authority in Hezbollah, following the conclusion of the election process. They commended the noble competitive environment that characterized the process, which reflected the professors' awareness of the seriousness of the imminent challenges, as well as their full solidarity in favor of both the professors and the university at the same time.
The statement urged everyone to respect the professors’ choice in naming their trade union representatives, considering that the political parties’ support for the new authority should translate into a work program that enjoys the consensus of all and necessitates their solidarity across various affiliations and directions to implement it.
The authority called for mobilizing efforts to confront any attempts aimed at encroaching on the rights and achievements of professors, which they won through the struggles of their predecessors in the trade union work, considering that "the Lebanese university as a whole has won."
The authority concluded its statement by congratulating the new members, reiterating its support for the Association of Full-Time Professors and the legitimate demands of university professors, "as a mandatory pathway for the development and reform of the entire Lebanese university system."
