On Saturday, Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems (ACES) signed a strategic agreement with a global company for knowledge transfer to locally manufacture drone payload systems in Saudi Arabia. This follows the announcement by ACES of the establishment of a new drone company in the Kingdom named Aerial Solutions.
The new agreement was made with China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC), a state-owned Chinese defense conglomerate specializing in dual-use electronics and one of the largest defense companies in the world. CETC will assist in establishing a research and development center and a manufacturing team for various types of drone payload systems, including communication units, flight control units, camera systems, radar systems, and wireless detection systems, leveraging its over 20 years of research and development expertise and its network of dozens of research institutes.
The agreement aligns with the company's strategy and the targets of Vision 2030, as Saudi Arabia aims to localize military industries, making them an important contributor to the Saudi economy, facilitating technology transfer, supporting local investors, and generating job opportunities in this promising sector while maximizing the sector's contribution to the national economy.
It is worth mentioning that Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems (ACES) is an integrative company for information and communication technology systems in the Kingdom, having built a good reputation and delivered major projects over the past 30 years. The company aims to provide UAV systems from CAT 1 to CAT 5 and offer advanced solutions to serve various sectors such as defense, security, oil and gas, energy transmission, traffic monitoring, and border protection.
