In a tragic incident, a Russian woman lost her newborn baby before her eyes when a doctor threw the infant from the third floor of a hospital. After approximately two hours post-delivery, Victoria Ivanova, 34, was startled by the loud cries of her baby. When the mother opened her eyes, she was shocked to see the doctor beside her holding her child and throwing her out of the third-floor window of the maternity hospital.
According to the Daily Star, the incident resulted in the death of the baby, and the doctor responsible was Dr. Alina Araslanova, 29, who reportedly suffers from postpartum depression. It was said that she threw the baby, named Volodya, from the hospital window.
Despite the tragedy of the painful incident, the couple forgave the responsible doctor. The mother stated, “My husband and I felt pain, despair, and sadness; we cried and could not sleep at all. I felt that when my baby fell, I wanted to follow her and fall after her, but this incident taught us to look at life differently, to love each other, our children, and life in general.”
The accused doctor has been arrested, while Victoria and her husband Denis, a 36-year-old psychiatrist, have forgiven the person who threw their child. It is reported that the doctor accused of killing the baby graduated from medical school six years ago and worked as a general practitioner in the village of Kergiz Miaki, Russia. She and her husband Renat have a three-year-old daughter. Medical reports indicate that during her second pregnancy, she experienced depression and was placed under surveillance. The Russian investigative committee announced that a murder investigation has been opened, and the accused will undergo a psychological evaluation.
