Special Report from Wordna ... Photos show the material damage to the homes of civilians as a result of the Israeli shelling on the southwestern countryside of Damascus.
Syrian air defenses intercepted, on the night of Sunday/Monday, hostile aerial targets in the sky over the southwestern countryside of the capital, Damascus. A reporter from Sana reported that "Syrian air defense forces are responding to hostile targets around the capital." A source told Sputnik that "Israeli missiles were launched from over the occupied territory in the far southwestern countryside of Damascus, attempting to target Syrian military sites, but the Syrian air defenses managed to intercept and destroy most of them." A military source confirmed to Sputnik's reporter that "at 1:18 AM (Damascus time), the Israeli enemy carried out an aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights and Galilee, targeting some sites around the city of Damascus, and our air defense systems intercepted the hostile missiles, destroying most of them."
Syrian state television broadcasted a video showing Syrian air defenses responding to Israeli targets in the sky over the countryside of Damascus and downing several of them. This attack marks the second of its kind on the southern countryside of the Syrian capital during this month, as Syrian air defenses previously thwarted an Israeli aggression targeting a military area south of Damascus on the evening of Wednesday, February 3.
