Army Commander in Italy Emphasizes Support for the Military Institution

The Army Command announced in a statement that Army Commander General Joseph Aoun visited Italy at the invitation of his Italian counterpart and met with Italian Minister of Defense Lorenzo Guerini, who affirmed "his country's determination to support the Lebanese army with all available resources." This meeting included the presence of Italian Chief of Defense Staff Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, who praised "the performance of the military institution during this critical phase in Lebanon's history." General Aoun also met with the Director General of Military Armament at the Italian Ministry of Defense, Major General Luciano Portolano, who stressed "the need to assist the army." Additionally, General Aoun expressed his gratitude to Italy, Minister Guerini, Admiral Cavo Dragone, and Major General Portolano, highlighting "the importance of securing support for the military institution, especially regarding essential needs such as fuel and medical care, amid the difficult economic conditions the country is facing."
