For Sale: Stunning Apartment Priced at $79 Million

Under the title "For Sale: Stunning Apartment Priced at $79 Million at Great Heights," Sky News reports on an extraordinary apartment with an exorbitant price and an unconventional design. This is a brief overview of an apartment listed for sale for over $79 million in the Woolworth Tower in Manhattan, New York City. According to The Wall Street Journal, the apartment was originally listed for sale in 2017 for $110 million, but it did not receive any buyers.

The Woolworth Tower, built in 1910 in the Gothic style, was for decades the tallest building in the world, consisting of 57 floors and standing approximately 250 meters tall. The luxurious apartment, or penthouse, is located on the top five floors of the building, in addition to the attic above.

The apartment is still under construction internally, having previously served as a mechanical equipment storage area. It has its own private elevator, not shared with the other residents of the building, and offers a panoramic view of New York City. Real estate developer Ken Horin mentions that the shape of the apartment, referred to as "The Pinnacle," has left him and others puzzled as to what can be done with it.

There were several ideas for developing this penthouse, such as using it as a storage space for winter clothes, but those ideas were never realized. After previous sales plans for the gigantic apartment failed, the developer decided to reduce the price and enlist a specialized architect for unusual designs. The architect has indeed made significant progress in creating an unconventional apartment, with the living room consisting of two levels, resembling yachts.
