Ancelotti: Losing the Clasico is Painful... What Happened is My Fault

Italian Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, expressed his dissatisfaction with the 4-0 loss during the Clasico against traditional rival Barcelona on Sunday evening, in the 29th round of La Liga. Ancelotti stated in remarks reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca": "We were looking for more ball control and higher pressing, but after the goal, our plan did not work, and they hurt us."

He added: "We started playing, but it was not our night. We feel sorry for the fans, and we have to look forward. We tried to push up, but it did not work; it's my fault."

He continued: "It's difficult because it's a Clasico match, and losing to Barcelona is painful. We need to stay calm, and we are sorry for what happened."

He concluded: "Everything went wrong, and I told the players that what happened was my fault."

For Barcelona, Aubameyang scored two goals in the 29th and 51st minutes, Araujo scored in the 38th minute, and Ferran Torres scored in the 47th minute.
