Macron Appears with a Beard in Commando Shirt; Followers Wonder: Has He Been Influenced by Zelensky?

Following a series of photos captured by the Élysée Palace depicting French President Emmanuel Macron after a recent conversation with his Russian counterpart, showcasing expressions of sorrow and frustration, new images of Macron have emerged in a more casual appearance with a beard, wearing a sports shirt, contrasting his usual elegance.

Social media users shared photos of Macron taken during a meeting with his team at the Élysée Palace, as part of his campaign for the French presidential elections. These images were documented by the official photographer of the French president, Soazig de la Moissonnière, showing several shots of Macron at work.

However, what caught the attention of social media activists and French media was the black sports shirt Macron wore. Observers were able to identify the "CPA 10" emblem on the president's shirt, which refers to the French Airborne Commando Number 10, a unit of special forces in the Air Force.

Many journalists and followers analyzed Macron's appearance, linking it to that of his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, who has been seen in informal, quasi-military olive-green clothing since the onset of the Russian military operation in his country. Some considered these images, along with the preceding ones, to be a tactical move in the presidential race to draw attention.

The French presidency had released photos of Macron a week prior, after his call with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the military operation in Ukraine, in which his face also exhibited signs of sorrow and frustration.

It is worth noting that the French presidential elections will take place on April 10 and April 24, 2022. Will the French re-elect Emmanuel Macron for another five-year term, or will they hand the keys of the Élysée Palace over to a new president?
