Riyadh Hosts the First

In a move aligned with Vision 2030 and affirming Saudi Arabia's leadership in the region, Apple has chosen the capital, Riyadh, as the location for its "Apple Developer Academy." This makes the Kingdom the first in the Middle East and North Africa to establish this academy, which will initially focus on female programmers and developers, supporting efforts to empower women and the significant social reforms of Vision 2030.

This exceptional partnership with the renowned global company Apple comes in cooperation with the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones represented by the Tuwaiq Academy, in partnership with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Dr. Inas bint Suleiman Al-Issa, the President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, expressed her immense happiness in hosting the Apple Academy, highlighting the Kingdom's prominence in the region. She stated, "Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of the first Apple Developer Academy at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, the largest women's university in the world, in collaboration with our strategic partner, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones represented by Tuwaiq Academy."

For his part, Faisal Al-Khamisi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, expressed great happiness with this distinguished partnership with Apple. He noted that the choice of Riyadh as the headquarters for the Apple Developer Academy is a result of the substantial and unlimited support received by the tech sector from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, in the pursuit of achieving the targets of Vision 2030 and supporting efforts to empower women and increase women's employment rates. This will contribute to fulfilling the social and economic goals of our ambitious vision, and this partnership will be an essential aspect of supporting these trends over the next ten years.

Al-Khamisi elaborated that the academy will provide tools and training for aspiring female entrepreneurs, developers, and designers to start startups and create many jobs in the iOS applications field, focusing on several tracks: programming, business and marketing applications, design, and professional skills. He pointed out that this exceptional partnership is further evidence of the Kingdom's commitment to equipping digital professionals with the comprehensive tools they need to qualify application developers and leaders in the tech field, as well as world-class entrepreneurs, in response to the growing demand in the tech sector, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and in pursuit of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
