The advisor to President Salim Al-Hoss and the director of his office, Rifaat Ibrahim Al-Badawi, stated in a press release: "It is shameful for the Sarafand News website and other news outlets to disseminate or publish false news that is contrary to reality and has no official basis, without verifying the accuracy of the claims circulating about President Salim Al-Hoss." He added: "Recently, sites that spread discord have been relying on a copy-and-paste method solely to collect likes or increase their readership. These news sites have lost credibility and have become sources of doubt and suspicion regarding the fake news they circulate on their pages and through social media, without the site managers bothering to contact the relevant authorities or specifically the office of President Salim Al-Hoss."
He continued: "We can no longer bear the burden of the misrepresentation by those unreliable electronic sites, especially after they have persisted in spreading falsehoods concerning the health and life of the conscience of the nation, President Salim Al-Hoss. We have no choice but to resort to the competent judiciary against anyone who publishes, transmits, or copies news relating to the life of President Salim Al-Hoss."
He added: "To all our beloved ones who have showered us with their love and inquiries about the health of President Salim Al-Hoss, we say: President Salim Al-Hoss is well and in good health, he is at home and has not been hospitalized as rumored, and everything being propagated through social media or WhatsApp groups is entirely unfounded."
He concluded: "President Salim Al-Hoss sends his greetings, love, and affection, and thanks all the supporters who expressed their sympathy. We ask God for health and a long life for the conscience of the nation, President Salim Al-Hoss, may God prolong his life and protect him from the malice of the troublemakers and the plots of the envious."
