A brutal murder shook Egypt two days ago, with the victim being Najlaa Naemat Allah, whose death sparked immense anger and sadness on social media. The incident occurred in the city of Kafr al-Dawar in Beheira Governorate, northern Egypt, where unknown assailants attacked Najlaa, known in the city for her charitable contributions, while she was working at an eye doctor's clinic in a popular mall in Kafr al-Dawar. She was strangled and stabbed, and her belongings and the clinic's daily earnings were stolen.
Security forces' efforts led to the discovery of the circumstances surrounding the incident, revealing that a girl and two young men were behind the crime. They were arrested, and upon confrontation, they confessed to committing the murder.
However, investigations revealed a shocking surprise: the killer was Najlaa's closest friend, named Noor. According to the investigations, the victim had enlisted her friend to take her place at work so that she could take her college exams. The investigations also showed that the killer, desiring to continue working at the clinic instead of her friend, decided to eliminate her. She enlisted a relative who, in turn, brought in another person to commit the crime in exchange for a monetary amount for both.
The perpetrators murdered the victim by strangulation and stabbing and left her bleeding inside the clinic. According to the findings, the killer entered the clinic to ambush Najlaa while the two young men could steal the clinic's daily earnings and her mobile phone. However, the victim discovered the plot and tried to scream, but the accused smothered her until she lost her life, then stabbed her repeatedly to ensure her death.
Furthermore, the forensic report indicated that Najlaa, known as the "Charity Girl," died from asphyxia due to strangulation, along with multiple bruises and stab wounds on her body and a head injury. Najlaa's friends stated that the killer was one of her closest friends, evidenced by the comments exchanged between them on Facebook. They noted that Najlaa had a good reputation and was involved in charitable and humanitarian work, distributing aid to the poor and needy.
The prosecution decided to remand the accused for four days pending investigations.
