Syrian artist Farah Youssef, star of the "Arab Idol" show, announced the release of her latest work, a music video titled "Like a Flower."
The song was written and composed by Mohamed Refai, presenting her in a new and different style, with arrangements by Ahmed Ibrahim and produced by Lifestyle Studios, directed by Adel Hassan. The lyrics of the song say:
"I picked you like a flower, and planted you in my heart. If one day your thorns hurt me, I will bear it and hide. If any moment drifts away from me, you will still remain within me. This love is a world of feelings, not just words expressed. Love, my sweetheart, is actions, not just saying 'I love you' and that's it. Inside me, there's a longing to meet you, I imagine myself with you, suffering while you're not with me. In the eyes of my heart, I see you. It turns out love with you is a paradise where I live. It has rivers of pure love, and you alone fill it with everything beautiful because you are the one in it. This love is a world of feelings, not just words expressed. Love, my sweetheart, is actions, not just saying 'I love you' and that's it. Inside me, there's a longing to meet you, I imagine myself with you, suffering while you're not with me. In the eyes of my heart, I see you."
It is noted that Farah Youssef's last work was the song "Please," featuring lyrics by Bandar Al-Balhamr, composed by Ahmed Saif, and arranged by George Yaqub. The lyrics state: "Please, calm down my beloved, forget about mischief. Don't waste my youth and take over my mind with sweetness. No, don't deceive me with a sweet word and a gift; I'm afraid to believe, my love, and drown in an inch of water. I fear to melt in your love and never repent from your passion."
