A medical source familiar with the health condition of actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz disclosed the reason for her trip to continue her treatment in Switzerland, clarifying that she had previously undergone a cesarean section there about ten years ago. The Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan" quoted the source stating that Yasmin Abdel Aziz's operation in Egypt was complex and difficult due to the removal of a large blood clot on the ovary, which necessitated surgical intervention instead of laparoscopy, given her medical history.
The source confirmed that she suffered from some complications during the operation, leading to swelling in the colon which resulted in a rupture and leakage of its contents, followed by peritonitis. The source explained that Yasmin Abdel Aziz's condition had stabilized in the hospital prior to her travel abroad; however, she required another surgery referred to as "bypass surgery" to restore her intestines to their normal pathway.

She began her foreign treatment journey after leaving Cairo International Airport, where she arrived in a specially equipped ambulance from a private hospital, and was permitted entry to Gate 4, dedicated to private aviation, to be transported on a private medical aircraft.
According to Egyptian media, Yasmin Abdel Aziz's health condition is stable, and she was transferred with an escort to the plane under the supervision of airport medical services. Yasmin Abdel Aziz was hospitalized for an operation for "ovarian cysts," as she was suffering from the presence of fatty cysts on her ovaries, which caused health issues such as an increased heart rate and low blood oxygen levels.
Actor Ahmed Al Awadi stated that his wife, actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz, was traveling to Switzerland after leaving one of the hospitals in Cairo last Friday morning, as part of her ongoing treatment. He added, "I ask people to pray for her to complete her treatment well."
