The developers of the popular messaging application "WhatsApp" are currently testing a feature that allows messages to disappear after 24 hours on "Android," "iOS," and "Web" devices. The online platform "WABetainfo" revealed in a recent report that the instant messaging app "WhatsApp" already contains an option that allows users to set a time for messages to disappear after a week (7 days). By activating this option, "WhatsApp" is currently competing with several rival applications, such as "Telegram," which offers this feature to its users.
The report indicated that, according to the "WABetainfo" platform, which tests features of the "WhatsApp" application in its beta version, "WhatsApp" will not replace the option for messages to disappear after 7 days with the new option for them to disappear after 24 hours. Recently, "WhatsApp" also released an update for iOS that allows all group participants to change the default setting for disappearing messages. Additionally, the app is testing the capability to introduce disappearing images for both "Android" and "iOS" systems.
