Parliament 2022: Here Are the Names of the New Committee Members and Their Rapporteurs

The elections for the members of the parliamentary committees were completed during a session held in the Parliament building at Sahat al-Najma.

President Nabih Berri opened the session at 3 PM on Friday and requested the distribution of papers regarding the election of members for the Health Committee. He also requested clarification regarding the salaries of the deputies after the words of MP Ali Ammar concerning regulations, stating that "work is underway on the issue of deputies' offices."

**Health Committee**

MP Imad al-Hout announced his candidacy for the Health Committee, while MP Bilal al-Hachemi announced his withdrawal from the committee, with a total of 112 votes cast.

The following MPs won the Health Committee: Bilal Abdullah, Samer al-Toum, Elias Jerada, Amin Shiri, Abdul Rahman al-Bizri, Ghassan Skaf, Inaya Ezzedin, Rami Fanaj, Fadi Alama, Ahmad Rostam, Ghassan Hasbani, and Michel Moussa.

In the Tuesday evening session, the members of the Displaced Affairs Committee were elected by acclamation, consisting of MPs: Edkar Traboulsi, Agop Bqradounian, Hadi Abu al-Hassan, Adnan Traboulsi, Jihad Bqradouni, Said al-Asmar, Kamil Shmeon, Ahmad Rostam, Hussein Jash, Nabil Badr, Mark Daou, and Saji Atyeh.

Similarly, the following MPs were elected by acclamation to the Information Technology Committee: Nicolas Sahnaoui, Ashraf Biyadoun, Yunus Sall, Rami Abu Hamdan, Said al-Asmar, Razi al-Haj, Elias Hankeish, Fadi Khazem, and Tony Franjieh.

**Election of Committee Presidents and Rapporteurs**

After completing the elections for the 16 parliamentary committees, each committee elected its president and rapporteur, with the results as follows:

- MP Ibrahim Kanaan as President of the Finance and Budget Committee, and Ali Fayyad as Rapporteur.

- MP George Adwan as President of the Administration and Justice Committee, and George Atallah as Rapporteur.

- MP Saji Atyeh as President of the Public Works and Transport Committee, and Mohammed Khawaja as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Fadi Alama as President of the Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Committee, and Hagop Bqradounian as Rapporteur.

- MP Hassan Murad as President of the Education Committee, and Edkar Traboulsi as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Bilal Abdullah as President of the Health, Labor and Social Affairs Committee, and Samer al-Toum as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Hagop Bqradounian as President of the Displaced Committee, and MP Hussein Jash as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Jihad al-Samad as President of the Defense, Interior, and Municipal Affairs Committee, and As’ad Dargham as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Ayoub Hamid as President of the Agriculture and Tourism Committee, and Adib Abdul Masih as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Ghayath Yazbak as President of the Environment Committee, and Qassem Hashim as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Ibrahim al-Mousawi as President of the Media and Communications Committee, and MP Muhammad Suleiman as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Simon Abi Ramia as President of the Youth and Sports Committee, and MP Raed Brou as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Michel Daher as President of the Economy, Industry, and Planning Committee, and MP Nasser Jaber as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Michel Moussa as President of the Human Rights Committee, and MP Nazih Matta as Rapporteur by acclamation.

- MP Inaya Ezzedin as President of the Women's and Children's Committee, and MP Adnan Traboulsi as Rapporteur.

- MP Tony Franjieh as President of the Information Technology Committee, and MP Elias Hankeish as Rapporteur, following the withdrawal of MP Nicolas Sahnaoui.
