The elected MP Razi Al-Haj affirmed that "through the parliamentary elections, we have managed to create a political balance in the House of Representatives," stating: "It is of utmost necessity for Hezbollah to know that exiting hell requires returning to legitimacy, and there will be no return to compromises; we will not accept circumventions. Any new political settlement will prolong the crisis, hinder reforms, and leave Lebanon in hell, as national unity governments have not been able to implement any economic reforms."
In a conversation with MTV during the "Beirut Today" program, he pointed out that "it is essential to restore order to the functioning of constitutional institutions so that the application of the constitution is not a matter of opinion," explaining that "our country is drowning, and everyone must work to save it, and public opinion is very aware and monitors all blocks and MPs; it is necessary for us to remain connected to the people who elected us."
He considered that there is no personal problem between the Lebanese Forces and the Speaker of the House Nabih Berri, but rather the problem lies in the position he supports. He added: "We will fight this battle to the end, and change is required at the level of parliamentary committees."
Al-Haj pointed out that "one of the crises of the mafia and militia alliance is that if both sides agree, the legitimacy is in good shape, but whenever they disagree, legitimacy is compromised." He emphasized that "it is not true that there are no hard currencies in Lebanon," stating: "These funds do not exist within the economic cycle, and the next government must be a government of specialists; this phase requires balance and stability away from folklore and the principle of 'frivolity.'"
He continued: "The lack of a strong state is due to the presence of Hezbollah and its weapons, and the internationally applied neutrality prevents any state from using Lebanon as a corridor or headquarters for any aggression." Al-Haj confirmed that "Bkerke has created the Lebanon that resembles us to protect us." He concluded: "We extend our hand to every sovereign individual who wants real reform and does not seek populism, and we do not have the luxury of wasting time on trivialities."
