The media office of the presidency stated that "President Michel Aoun and First Lady Nadia Aoun received the COVID-19 vaccine along with ten members of the close-knit team accompanying the president."
The National News Agency reported in a statement from the media office that President Michel Aoun and First Lady Nadia Aoun received the vaccine along with ten members of the president's close team. The statement confirmed that they registered their names in accordance with the procedures on the vaccination platform. On this occasion, President Aoun urged the Lebanese to register their names on the platform to receive the vaccine and contribute to combating the spread of this epidemic. It is noted that there had been recorded cases of COVID-19 among the team working directly with the president.
The media department of the Lebanese Forces party issued a statement regarding the vaccination campaign that occurred earlier today at the Parliament, in which they questioned who was responsible for bringing the vaccines to Parliament and subsequently to the presidential palace. Accordingly, they demanded a transparent and swift investigation to determine responsibilities in this matter, since the deputies contacted to receive the vaccine had legally and officially registered on the official platform, and considered that their turn had indeed come for vaccination.
