The Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, met with officials at the air entry points, attended by the Assistant Director General for Air Entry Points and Head of the Executive Committee for "Expo 2020 Dubai" at Dubai Residency, Major General Talal Al Shankiti, to review the workflow mechanisms in preparation for the arrival of visitors at Dubai Airports. He emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts to prepare for the reception of millions of visitors at "Expo 2020 Dubai," aiming to create a significant milestone in the event's history.
Al Marri inspected the operations at the passport control booths at Dubai International Airport as part of his routine review tours to monitor progress and ensure the readiness of passport control staff. He explained that Dubai Residency has organized specialized teams to follow up on procedures and facilitate the reception of travelers and participants at the largest international event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, which aims to redefine the future of humanity post the COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that front-line staff are responsible for creating a positive first impression for visitors arriving in the country via Dubai during "Expo 2020 Dubai," reflecting a commendable image through their courteous interactions, sense of responsibility, and comprehensive awareness of all precautionary and preventive measures to address the implications of COVID-19.
